PTSD & Trauma Counseling

Live a life free of excess worry, pain, and fear.

In life, it’s common to feel afraid from time to time, especially after a traumatic event. In most cases, people recover from a frightening or dangerous experience over time. However, in some cases, processing trauma can become chronic, deeply impacting your quality of life. If you or your loved one is struggling with processing a traumatic event, you are not alone.

Trauma therapy is designed to help you recognize and understand how a traumatic experience impacts your mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. At its core, trauma therapy provides people solutions and coping mechanisms to respond to their trauma in a healthy manner.

What is PTSD?

Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can present in anyone who experienced something frightening, dangerous, or traumatic. It’s our body’s physical and emotional response following a traumatic event. In fact, trauma has been shown to change brain chemistry and how an individual reacts during stressful situations.

Regardless of when the trauma(s) occurred, if left untreated, these feelings can negatively impact quality of life and happiness. PTSD can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, series of events, or set of traumatic circumstances.
